The show exists to put Austin musicians on television. If you are playing out in this city and you have songs you are proud of, we want to hear them.
What to send
Music. A link is fine — streaming, Bandcamp, a private file, whatever is easiest. Two or three songs tells us more than a full album.
Live footage, if you have it. This matters more than the recordings. The show is a performance, and a phone video from a real gig answers a question no polished single can.
Who is in the band and how many of you there are, so we know what fits on the floor and how to plan the day.
Where you have been playing, and anything coming up — a release, a tour, a residency. We book by season and try to line episodes up with things worth talking about.

What happens on the day
You load into the live room, the same 22-foot floor where records are cut. It is a studio, not a soundstage, which is why the performances on the show sound like records.
Sound takes real time. Drums first, then everything else. Come early and do not schedule a gig for that evening.
You play, and you talk. Between songs there is conversation about the music, and the show has a sense of humour about itself. Bands are people and the format treats them that way.
It airs and then it lives on. Saturdays on KNVA, The CW Austin, then permanently on the channel where it keeps working for you long after the broadcast.
Common questions
Does it cost anything to play?
No. There is no submission fee and no pay-to-play, and there never has been.
Do we have to record at 512 to be on it?
No. Plenty of bands play the show and record elsewhere. Some book the room afterwards, but that is their decision and never a condition.
What genres does the show book?
The archive runs from metal to cumbia to outlaw country to soul. If you are good and you are from here, send it.
How big can the band be?
The live room is 22 feet square with four isolation booths, so a full band is comfortable. Tell us the headcount and any unusual instrumentation when you write.
When will we hear back?
Booking runs by season rather than continuously, so it can take a while. Say so in your email if you have a release date to work around.
